Premier Marinas has completed the purchase of Noss on Dart Marina. Set in 37 acres on the eastern bank of the River Dart in Kingswear, close to Dartmouth, Noss comprises 180 serviced pontoon berths, 47 river moorings and a limited boatyard operation. Premier’s plan for Noss is to deliver a mixed use regeneration of the site, most of which is currently in a derelict and unusable state.
Enhancements to the marina infrastructure will include a new and larger marina; new berth holder facilities; a new boatyard with increased lifting capacity and workshops for complimentary marine activities and a new home for South Devon College. Access to the site will also be improved and Premier’s investment in the site will be supported by sensitive residential development.
Noss is located in one of the UK’s most beautiful areas and the coastline and cruising grounds accessible from the marina are breathtakingly pretty. Premier intends to create a marina that will be the envy of the marine industry and whilst there is a challenge ahead of us, we are confident that once completed, Noss Marina will be one of the UK’s finest.
For Premier Berth Holders the addition of Noss to Premier’s portfolio of marinas is fantastic news because in acquiring Noss, Premier has added a stunning location between Swanwick and Falmouth marinas at which berth holders will be able to use their complimentary visitor nights or transfer to on a permanent basis.
The regeneration of Noss Marina is expected to bring both employment and over £100m of investment into the area. Meanwhile, Premier will continue its programme of investment in its marina portfolio with major projects planned for 2016/17 including the renewal of berth holder facilities at Falmouth Marina, the acquisition of a dredger for Brighton Marina, the installation of self-serve fuel pontoons at Brighton and Gosport Marinas and further investment in Swanwick Marina’s restaurant and yacht sales accommodation.
