Yacht Cruise: Cruise to Bucklers Hard

In early Autumn the Beaulieu River and Buckler’s Hard can be a beautiful place to visit. This cruise takes advantage of a mid-morning high tide to enjoy a sail from Chichester to Buckler’s Hard, where berths will be reserved on the refuelling pontoon. No specific arrangements will be made for this part of the cruise although the Hard’s barbeque may be available. The mandatory pontoon party will be held here. On Wednesday 4 October a short mid-morning sail from the Beaulieu River to Universal Marina on the River Hamble. The plan is to arrive at high water to take advantage of slack water, thus avoiding the rather notorious strong tides which can run in the river. Berths will be reserved in Universal Marina. (my home port!!) and reservations for an evening meal in the marina’s excellent ‘Bistro 8’. Departure from Universal fairly early in the morning will take advantage of the flood tide returning to Chichester. Come along and enjoy!! Briefing Mon 3rd at 20.00
