Henrys Last Hoorah?

Our castle jaunt in 2025 sees us set off a little later than in previous years, but with weather patterns being unpredictable we have a decent chance of a fine trip. This time we are planning to visit one of Henry VIIIs most sophisticated coastal fortresses at the entrance to Yarmouth Harbour. The castle is small, but contains many interesting features and artifacts and has one of the best viewing platforms and picnic sites in the Solent. Taking advantage of the midday ebb stream on Tuesday 23rd September, we plan to arrive in Yarmouth mid-afternoon for a get together followed by the opportunity to dine aboard or atone of the towns hostelries On Wednesday we will take a late morning leisurely stroll to the castle, investigate the layout and possibly complete a quiz? We may plan a walk or other distraction for the afternoon. Wednesday evening will include a Cruise Dinner and a catch up on the days events. Thursdays tide times allow a reasonable departure time if heading east.
