Cruise to Bucklers Hard

Im honoured to stand tall on the shoulders of giants who have previously led this mid-week cruise to Bucklers Hard, and aim to make it as memorable an adventure as it has always been. The plan is to head West on the morning of Wednesday 25th June, and return to base on the afternoon of Friday 27th Outbound, HW Itchenor is at 12.00 (4.5m) and 14.00 (4.5m) for the return on Friday. A fair tide until 15.00 on the outbound leg should see us safely into the Beaulieu River in plenty of time for an early evening pontoon party. A sprightly departure may be required to avoid adverse Spring tides on the return leg on the Friday, but Ill issue further details on that nearer the time. At the time of writing (December 2024) the Bucklers Hard team are firming up onsite pop-up catering arrangements for next year. Ill look to make a group booking on one of the nights for a cruise supper, and let folks make informal arrangements for the other night more details to follow. Assuming Hermits crew make it back safely from the IOW Festival, on the Monday, there will be a briefing meeting in the bar on the Tuesday evening for anyone who wants to talk over their plans and compare passage notes.
