Ramblers - Fields and Coast around West Wittering 22 Feb 2025

26 athletic club members met at The Wittering public house for a venture in the grey but dry morning air. 

Given the previous nights rain, most of the walk was good going with only the return leg along the harbour path being reminiscent of the Somme. Sadly, however, the final leg was abandoned due local knowledge and time constraints, so no church visit.

We walked past Sir Henry Royces studio and house, Elmstead House; and the legendary Redlands. No police offices or Jack Flash were seen, but the twitchers did see something in Keefs Wood!

We had a coffee stop overlooking the harbour and, due to the route change, we returned in good time for lunch and drinks, and a well-earned chinwag.
